Friday 10th November - bike ** – Two rivers including picnic at
Landguard - mainly cloudy and chilly.
Walk – sunrise Felixstowe.
Got up early to walk down to Felixstowe seafront to catch the sunrise with
sadly a poppy taped to a stick to get some pics for the local weather, sad
I know but Aisling actually used one on her forecast tonight so it was
worth getting cold for and a pretty poor sunrise to boot! Just a brief
glimpse of sun which quickly disappeared leaving a mainly cold, gloomy
day:(
Bike.
After doing my exercises and despite the poor weather I packed a picnic,
heated a flask of homemade soup, wrapped up warm and headed out around
12.30! Heading down through Langer park, across Landguard nature reserve
with loads of rabbits to shelter behind the concrete bunker by the small
wooden pier for lunch. There was a cool wind blowing down the Orwell from
the NW so we did not stay long before heading back to Felixstoe prom, I
stop at the pier to take some pics of the large poppies before continiing
onto Felixstowe Ferry after saying goodbye to Mag at Bent Hill. I then
whizz home the shortestest route for a warming cuppa and a hot water
bottle!
